Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival is a multiple days event to be held on a date to be determined at East Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon. It is open to regional and overseas dragon boat teams to compete under rules of the International Dragon Boat Federation. The race is organized by the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Association and the Carnival is sponsored by Hong Kong Tourism Board.
Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival is a one day event in Tuen-Ng on the 5TH day of the 5TH month of the lunar calendar which is in June 2012. Dragon boats races are held at various locations in Hong Kong in Tuen Ng. It is a festival to commemorate the historic death of the legendary Qu Yuan. Tuen-Ng festival is also celebrated in China.
